Description

A review by Hsu published in 2011 has confirmed this species to be a colour variation of the widespread Siganus fuscescens. The World Register of Marine Species (WoRMS) does not yet reflect this update, listing these as separate species. They will remain separate in the RLS database until updated in WoRMS.
