Description
Distinguished from other very similar Scorpaena species in the region by the filaments under the chin, intricate mottling pattern on its head and distinct bars on the tail. S. scrofa also has filaments on its chin, but tends to be found deeper (more than 15-20 m) and lacks bars on the tail.
