Tropical Indo-Pacific


Description

Light body with 5-7 thin yellow stripes of equal width on side, longest stripe continuing through eye to snout, rectangular black spot on lateral line three-quarters distance along body. L. carponatus (Stripey Snapper) lacks black blotch and L. ehrenbergii (Ehrenberg's Snapper) lacks stripes on head.
