Distribution

Tropical Atlantic/Caribbean


Description

Silver with a yellow stripe from snout tip to tail fin, scattered yellow blotches above stripe and faint yellowish stripes below. Dorsal and tail fins bright yellow and a yellow blotch at base of pectoral fin. Forms schools in mid water well above the reef. Juveniles use shallow seagrass beds as nurseries.
