Description

Dark brown body with broad white stripe from snout to dorsal fin. Lives in sand burrow with commensal shrimp, unlike other shrimpgobies it hovers at the burrow entrance rather than perching on the sand. Previously included with Red Sea species Lotilia graciliosa (Red Sea Whitecap Shrimpgoby). With only its head visible, resembles Cryptocentrus leucostictus (Saddled Shrimpgoby).
