Description
Elongate almost Pseudanthias-like shape, colouring can be variable but usually with a grey-green or yellowish back, and purplish underside. Usually yellow patch at rear of dorsal fin. Form feeding aggregations well above the reef, usually around steep slopes or drop-offs, often mixed in with schools of Pseudanthias species.
