Description
Black stripes radiating back from eye on white central body, upper and lower body grey, dorsal fin black, yellow patch on top of head, grey tail with black spots, and elongated tips on upper and lower lobes. Similar male Genicanthus watanabei (Watanabe's Angelfish) has stripes on underside. Lacks vertical banding of males of other similarly distributed Genicanthus species, and also distinguished by presence of stripes in female. Length to 25 cm.
