Description
Males green with blue chain like stripes along body, blue margins on dorsal, tail and anal fins and blue-edged red stripes on face. Juveniles with an ocellus mid way along dorsal fin and a second ocellus on upper tail base. Females and juveniles with yellow and blue stripes along body similar to H. melanurus (Hoeven's Wrasse), best distinguished by presence of males.
